The Golden Trial of Rod Blagojevich

Sunflower
The big story in Chicago, IL is the former Governor, Rod Blagojevich trial which ended on Tuesday August 17, 2010 with a guilty verdict on one count out of twenty-four. This man is like a celebrity and he knows how to draw a crowd to get attention. If he wasn't good at getting people attention he would be in big trouble. I think he's a good speaker and he knows just what to say when claiming his Innocent. Weather he did it or not he can pretty much talk his way out of anything. How did he ever get the judge to allow him to do a reality show? "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" he also appeared on the apprentice with Donald Trump, and many other talk and radio shows to get his point across.

Well, looks like he got his point across pretty well considering all the counts he had against him and to be found guilty of only one. The only thing he couldn't talk himself out of was to convince the people on Capital Hill he should continue serving the people of Illinois as their Governor. Rod Blagojevich is a likable and very lucky man.

Not only is Rod Blagojevich a talker, his lawyers also articulates their speeches well. If someone can speak like that I can see how they pretty much won the case because they know how to argue he did nothing wrong and was very convincing. Rod Blagojevich really does talk to much but, it got him out of trouble. Sometimes it pays to have a big mouth and just maybe someone may listen.

One thing I didn't care for is all the coverage the trial got from the news media, interrupting regular schedule programs just to tell us whats going on in court. Yes, I wanted to hear about it but, it could have waited until the regular news, they assume everyone wants to hear about it. And less hope the tax payers doesn't have to pay for this retrial. He still may have to face the same charges in the future because the U.S. Attorney still believes he's guilty.

I think that the former Governor Rod Blagojevich likes to talk so... much and that's how he got himself in trouble in the first place unaware of someone listening in on his phone calls. When you think no one is listening and you're in the privacy of your home people tend to say a lot of stuff but, beware someone just may be listening in on you.

...but is talking about a crime committing a crime.
