Peter and Eli sense that Wendy Scott-Caar's running for States Attorney will be detrimental to their campaign. Wendy desires to stop the legacy control of the States Attorney's office. Wendy declines Peter's offer to run with her.
Alicia's firm has four hours to determine if they find Lara's case is valid to take on. It will put them in the spotlight as bad guys going after a positive world figure or as being the firm who exposed Kent for who he really is. Diane was against pursuing the case at first based upon Lara seeming to be relaxed and not upset about her assault. Laura justified her behavior saying that she wished the assault happened to someone who cried more. Diane sends Blake to investigate Lara's background. After ransacking her apartment, and posing as a massage client to speak to her roommate, Blake determined Lara was in debt and needed money. Diane receives a very telling phone call from Joe Kent's wife that discourages her support for him.
Will seeing the potential for profit, sends Kalinda to the hotel to investigate the scene of the assault. During the hustle of investigating, all the while, Lara had the key piece of evidence in her purse to prove her honesty. Kalinda also discovers another massage therapist that was assaulted four years prior.
Will confronts Kent's attorney, Woody, to attempt getting a shakedown settlement before trial. Woody and Will erupt into a fist fight. Woody then attempts to blackmail Peter into convincing Alicia to drop the sexual assault case.
Alicia discovers Cary Yagos initially sent Lara to the firm. Alicia distrusts Cary's motives and feels he still has bad intentions. Yet Kalinda misses Cary and expresses this to the firm.
Peter is interrupted from snooping to listen to an 86 day old message from Will on her phone. Will is as the event with his girlfriend Tammy. Tammy is secretly plotting against Alicia. This I expect to unfold in a surprising way since Will has no idea, and is naively optimistic about his relationship with Tammy.
