Where did this group of then new actors end up? 22 years later, here is a peek at the 'goonies' today:
Sean Astin (Mikey Walsh)
Astin, the son of actors John Astin and Patty Duke, won the Young Artist Award for his portrayal of the eager, spirited Mikey Walsh. While Corey Feldman was probably the most recognized name in the years after The Goonies was released, Astin also landed many roles in his childhood and teens, and is more on the forefront today. Recently, he starred as Sam, a hobbit in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Astin also had roles in 50 First Dates, Click and television shows 24 and Las Vegas. He also narrates Meekrat Manor on the Animal Planet.
Corey Feldman (Clark "Mouth" Devereaux)
Feldman, who played the obnoxious "Mouth," soared into 80s movie fame, often starring opposite of Corey Haim. He has over 50 films to his credit, however today he his focused on his music (with his band The Truth Movement) and theater career. He recently appeared on stage in Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy, a parody of the 1987 film. He is also the voice of an animated character on a Toon Disney's Super Robot Money Team Hyperforce Go. Regarding his personal life, he was married and three years later divorced from Vanessa Marcil, then of General Hospital fame. (The ceremony was officiated by M.C. Hammer.) He has been married to Susie Sprague for five years and they have a son, Zen.
Jonathan Ke Quan (Richard "Data" Wang)
Ke Quan portrayed the inventive Goonie, who was famed for his, "that's what I said, 'boobie traps." After The Goonies , he appeared opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He also appeared in the TV show Head of the Class, which ended in 1991. Since then, he has not appeared on-screen. However, a skilled martial artist, he know serves the film industry as a stunt coordinator and worked on the X-Men and The One.
Jeff Cohen (Lawrence "Chunk" Cohen)
Cohen played the lovable and imaginative Chunk. Today, he is an entertainment lawyer-a partner with the firm Global Talent Associates. He is also producer of independent films. In college, he played up is Chunk role by doing the 'truffle shuffle' on the sidelines of the football field. And since he is a lawyer, as lawyers do, he now goes by Jeff B. Cohen.
Josh Brolin (Brand Walsh)
Brolin played Mikey's older brother and Andy's love interest. Brolin continued in TV and movie roles, the most successful being Hollow Man. He is in two movies slated to be released in 2007: American Disaster and Quentin Tarantino's Grind House. On a personal note, he is married to actress Diane Lane.
Kerri Green (Andy Carmichael)
Green's cheerleader character in The Goonies was actually a role she got to play again in Lucas. Green has not done any acting since the late 90s.
Martha Plimpton (Stef Steinbrenner)
This model-turned-actress starred in several movies and television programs in the late 80s and 90s. Today, she is more involved in writing, theater (The Steppenwolf Theater Group) and narrating animated movies and audio books. However, she does land roles from time to time, having had a recurring role on ER and guest starring on 7th Heaven and Law & Order: SVU.
