The GOP's Plot of Making the Bottom 99% Assume the Burden of Reducing the Deficit Will Cause Drastic Damages to Them

All of this nonsense of demanding that deficit reduction should be associated with increasing the debt limit is despicable. Never has a political group done so much to ruin a presidency since when the GOP had its last chance, and did similar scams to President Clinton. The vast right-wing conspiracy and politics of personal destruction were merely spiffed up for the GOP's "party of no" obstruction of President Obama's policies.

Currently Boehner was negotiating with President Obama to repeal pieces of his Affordable Health Care reform for an increase in taxes. Out of the 3.7 trillion 800 billion was the share under consideration for increases in taxes. That is potentially about 21% for the Democrats goal--and you can bet that the GOP wasn't going to let the tax increases to come out of the top 1%.

Even that wasn't enough for the GOP. Big surprise! President Obama realized he was getting shafted as he stated "It is hard to understand why Speaker Boehner would walk away from this kind of deal. And, frankly, if you look at commentary out there, there are a lot of Republicans that are puzzled as to why it couldn't get done. In fact, there are a lot of Republican voters out there who are puzzled as to why it couldn't get done."

Was there anything that Boehner or Cantor would agree to? They pretend that 87 freshmen Tea Partiers are pulling their strings. Who can believe anything out of their lips? These Tea Partiers weren't around when the GOP decided to investigate President Clinton's life going back to the Whitewater land deal that failed. After years of groping in the darkness they came up with enough propaganda to impeach President Clinton on charges that everyone knew the Senate would refuse to consider. It didn't pass the stink test and he was acquitted by the U.S. Senate immediately, but the GOP caused Clinton's promising presidency to be ruined. The GOP didn't want President Clinton to help the bottom 99% and forcing him to fight impeachment charges accomplished this.

President Obama makes his liberal base sputter in disbelief with his concessions to the GOP as he stated "Now, if you do not have any revenues, as the most recent Republican plan that's been put forward both in the House and the Senate proposed, if you have no revenues at all, what that means is more of a burden on seniors, more drastic cuts to education, more drastic cuts to research, a bigger burden on services that are going to middle-class families all across the country. And it essentially asks nothing of corporate jet owners, it asks nothing of oil and gas companies, it asks nothing from folks like me who've done extremely well and can afford to do a little bit more."

This type of deal will not please the liberals, but might peel off some independents for the Democrats in the upcoming election. Maybe President Obama is thinking that if Democrats are in power in 2012 they can repeal some of the more odious aspects of his concessions to the GOP. He can't announce this to the populace though because the proles don't like politicians who disregard the ramifications of policy for partisan political gain, even though that was the approach of Karl Rove during W's term. Remember his concept of the "permanent campaign".

President Obama has decency, reality, historical and political sciences and the polls on his side, but still he feels a need to bend over backwards as he states "In other words, if you don't have revenues, the entire thing ends up being tilted on the backs of the poor and middle-class families. And the majority of Americans don't agree on that approach."

President Obama can't let the US default. The GOP knows that and they are unscrupulously trying to wrest every last concessions from President Obama . This again will benefit the GOP's top 1% at the expense of the bottom 99% drudges.
