I, myself, have dabbled into the gpt world and was overwhelmed by so many sites constantly popping up and others folding in. My review of thegptdirectory.com is as follows:
Pros
Blog
Thegptdirectory.com has made a list of sites in blog format instead of an actual website. I think it is a very huge plus since taking on a list so vast and so unpredictable (you know the usual "here today gone tomorrow" type of sites). All the owner has to do is go in and either edits the entries if a site is updated or delete an entry if the site folds in.
Format
The format in which the gpt list is in is also great. Each site is listed under a letter (see categories) and tells a little about each site (sign up bonus, referral bonus, etc.).
Cons
As with all great ideas there is always something that just doesn't fit right. After all, no good ideas are perfect. The gpt directory has some cons that the author of the site needs to address which are as follows:
Length
The author of the gpt directory needs to put how long each site has been open or a least the date or month the site had open to give viewers a little more insight as to who to trust.
Scams
As always it is nice to know which sites are scams before they scam their users.
I've reviewed some of the sites that the author listed in her blogs and for the most part they have checked out. I have found a lot of "I've been paid" post on various forums. Now the question of will I be using this gpt list in the future? Yes, why not? In fact I might even point this author to a few other sites that are known to be honest. It is a great idea to have all gpt sites in one place but hopefully the author of this site updates and improves his or her blog in order to help more people feel comfortable using that gpt list. The gpt directory will certainly be an important site depending on how seriously the author takes it.
