Now, we all are well aware by now that fast food is bad for you. It is unhealthy, greasy, and is found contaminated with any number of things. When you're talking about quality of food, all fast food joints are pretty much the same; this isn't the question we're debating here.
Speed and location is another issue that can make one fast food restaurant better than the other. You may prefer going to Burger King just because it is closer, or it may be quicker to drive the extra mile to the McDonald's with the fastest service. So this isn't the issue be debated here, either - it's really a matter of circumstance that is specific to your region.
The hours in which a restaurant is open can also play a part in whether or not one place is better than the other. But again, the hours for both McDonald's and Burger King vary from state to state, city to city and even restaurant to restaurant. One particular establishment may be open until one in the morning, while the one right down the road might stay open twenty-four hours a day.
But here we are debating the food. The question that we are trying to answer here is which restaurant serves better tasting food, at a better value? Is it McDonald's or Burger King?
As far as breakfast goes, in my opinion it's a tie. I can't stand McDonald's eggs - too stinky for me and they just taste odd. On the other hand, their sausage biscuits are to die for, their orange juice is delicious and their hash browns are good, too. Burger King has great tasting eggs that aren't overly smelly, so nearly anything off from their menu is good. Their mini hash browns, or hash brown nuggets, whatever you want to call them are good too.
When concerning the double cheeseburger, Burger King wins hand down. But there is an exception - some Burger King Restaurants offer their double cheeseburgers at one dollar a piece. At other locations however, they can be almost three dollars each. McDonald's double cheeseburgers are always one dollar no matter where you go, but they don't taste anywhere near as good as Burger King.
If you want to talk about chicken nuggets, it is McDonald's all the way. McDonald's chicken nuggets are way better than Burger King's chicken tenders. And the fact that Burger King has changed their chicken tenders to weird shapes seems to detract from their taste.
Now to tackle the big one - is it the Big Mac from McDonald's or the Whopper from Burger King? Well, in my opinion there simply is no contest here. The Whopper wins by a landslide. Don't get me wrong - I love a good Big Mac now and again, but it doesn't even come close to the flame-broiled goodness of Burger King.
So there we have it. In the debate of McDonald's versus Burger King, which one is better? According to our results, Burger King wins, but just barely. We had one tie, two points for Burger King and only one for McDonalds. Finally somebody has put an end to this most important debate.
