The Great Ones Walk Together

Lakota
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was born January 15, 1929
Littie Ann Holland was born January 14, 1932

He led protests, preached sermons, and won the Noble Prize
She made protests to make a better way for her children, she taught lessons, and won our hearts.

He gave grand speeches and changed lives.
She had grandchildren and participated in their lives

He was peaceful and spoke through the church.
She was at peace and spoke through a switch, that you had to pick yourself.

He was born Michael, but his mother changed his name to Martin.
She was born Littie, but her love changed it to Mu-Dear.

He was educated and received a PHD.
She was well educated and received a Parenting in the Hood Degree.

He was taken from his family too soon never to see his legacy live on.
She was taken just in time. In time to see her Great Grandchildren graduate from high school and attend the events in style.

You don't think she was taken just in time, I do. Just in time to lead her legacy of 7 children, 29 grandchildren, and so many great grandchildren I didn't even bother to count, into the next phase of their lives. Only Mu-Dear the angel can take it from here.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. died in April of 1968
Littie Ann "Mu-Dear" Holland Woodard died in April of 2008
