To pay homage
By lip and service
Sign and sigil
At the red rocks
By lip and service
Sign and sigil
At the red rocks
Pride and privilege
The glory of Rome
With a debt owed
To the Christian god
East and West
Peace and stability
The Edict of Milan
Forward to order
One ruler, one god
Peace by the sword
Standard and oath
To conquer the whole

Post a CommentConstantine - he was not a Christian, but he founded its counterfeit - Christendom! Jesus said that the one who lives by the sword will die by the sword. For some reason, I take his words over Constantine's actions...
He's an interesting figure in history, good dedication poem :)

Very nice poem, and an interesting subject to choose as well.
great poetry!
very well done.
That's right, and hence Paul and the New testament called us --followers of Jesus -- "saints" too. I am glad, Walton, that we can agree that 'Saints" mean only too human, sinful but having come to Christ irevocably. Shalom and Amen!
Awesome!!!
