The Great Twitter Challenge

Kami Valentino
I decided to enter this challenge and to give it my best shot. I am already have a twitter account but did not use it much. The day I started I had an estimated 938 page views on associated content, which is my normal page view range.

I started about four weeks ago, meaning I really started to promote on Twitter. I chose seventeen media-related profiles to follow, such as Time, Newsweek, CNN, and so on. I have some "regular" people for lack of a better term. Some of the people I am following are from St. Louis, MO, which is where I use to live and so contributors from Associated Content. Some others I acquired from my email addresses and found them on twitter. I currently have eighteen followers, some I know personally and others I do not. I guess I am not following as many people as some others on the site. I wanted to genuinely follow people than to just picking anyone.
Before I entered this challenge the articles that were posted automatically. It really did not workout very well because I did not write as many articles as I use to. This challenge came just in time. I started by posting four articles per day. I continued this for a week and had a two hundred page view increase. I continued to do this each day by promoting at least four articles. The hard work of posting paid off. A month later I had a increase of one thousand page views. This was great considering I would have had far less if I did not promote on Twitter. Looking at the page views of other contributors on Associated content, it seems that I did not promote very well or I do not write enough articles. I thought I had come up with a strategic plan but I really would like to make more than three dollars a pay cycle. The twitter challenge is good start.
Overall I like the challenge. It forced me to more than just write articles. I had to promote them. This challenge showed me that I needed to write more articles so that I have more to promote.
