The Greatest American Hero... Marathon

If you were home anytime on July 4th and you seen the trio of William Katt, Connie Sellecca, and Robert Culp, then you took a little trip back to 1981. Yes the all time favorite of a flying teacher and a beautiful attorney along with a sharp witted FBI agent made up the series that could be no other than "The Greatest American Hero".

Created by Stephen J. Cannell and released in the spring of 1981, the series ran from 1981 to 1983 pulling 4 Primetime Emmy Nominations the comedy series was a true success. With it's finale in 1986 where Ralph has to pick his successor after he is exposed to the world, this would end the run of the series but not the memories of sitting episode after another in front of the television watching and dreaming about becoming the next Greatest American Hero.

I can still see the struggling side way flying attempts of Ralph Hinkley (Katt), to rush to the play by play sarcastic voice of Bill Maxwell (Culp), and the please "be carefull Ralph" or "when can we be alone without the suit" pleas of Pam Davidson (Sellecca). I honestly think this may have been the last wholesome comedy series that kept you on the edge of your seat with the plots.

I really enjoyed the marathon, and honestly it takes you back to a time when you would ask... what is a reality show.
