April 5, 1998. The Arizona Diamondbacks win their first game. They beat the San Francisco Giants 3-2. The winning pitcher is Andy Benes.
September 24, 1999. The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Francisco Giants 11-3 to clinch first place in the National League West. The winning pitcher is Randy Johnson. In only their second season, the Diamondbacks become the fastest expansion team to ever win a division title.
October 6, 1999. The Diamondbacks win their first ever postseason game defeating the New York Mets 7-1. Todd Stottlemyre is the winning pitcher. However the Diamondbacks will lose the series in 4 games.
May 8, 2001. Randy Johnson ties the Major League record for strikeouts in a 9 inning game with 20 against the Cincinnati Reds. Randy Johnson is taken out of the game after the ninth inning with the score tied at 3. The Diamondbacks win the game in 11 innings 4-3.
September 5, 2001. Curt Schilling beats the San Francisco Giants for his 20th victory. He is the first pitcher in Diamondbacks history to win 20 games.
October 5, 2001. The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Milwaukee Brewers to clinch their second Western Division title in 3 years. Albie Lopez is the winning pitcher.
October 14,2001. The Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the St Louis Cardinals 2-1 to win the National League Division series. It is the Diamondbacks first postseason series win. Tony Womack drives in Danny Bautista in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the game to Arizona. Curt Schilling pitches a complete game and strikes out 9.
October 21, 2001. The Diamondbacks defeat the Atlanta Braves 3-2 to win the National League Championship series in 5 games. It is the Diamondbacks first National League Pennant.
November 4, 2001. In one of the greatest games in World Series history the Diamondbacks defeat the New York Yankees 3-2 in the seventh game to win the World Series. Trailing 2-1 going into the bottom of the ninth the Diamondbacks rally to win the game. Luis Gonzalez singles off of Mariano Rivera to drive in Jay Bell with the winning run. In just their fourth season Arizona becomes the fastest expansion team to ever win a World Series.
September 28, 2002. The Diamondbacks win their third National League Western Division title when they defeat the Colorado Rockies 17-8.
May 18,2004. Randy Johnson pitchers a perfect game against the Atlanta Braves. During the game Randy Johnson strikeouts 13.
September 29,2007. Despite losing to the Colorado Rockies 11-1, the Diamondbacks clinch 1st place in the Western Division when the San Diego Padres lose to the Milwaukee Brewers. It is Arizona's 4th division title in 10 years.
October 6, 2007. The Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the Chicago Cubs 5-1 to sweep the National League Division Series.
