The Greatest Teachers

Teachers ar e the bearers of knowledge. Everything a student learns he learns from his teacher. All teachers everywhere have the same job, no matter what they teach , they enlighten their pupils. Without teachers civilization would collapse within one or two generations. If teachers did not exist then all the knowledge in the world would not be passed on to a new generation. Teachers will always be needed. Although, however important they may be, there is no such thing as a perfect teachers. Although there are some that come in pretty close; the thing that makes them so great is that they are all patient, sympathetic, and have a great sense of humor. No great teacher is complete without a good sense of humor.

Every good teacher must be patient to every last one of his students, even the dopey ones. When the teacher is patient, the students feels less pressured; which makes the student's job easier. Like for example, when a teacher is revising your work he or she should not criticize mercilessly, but instead should patiently help you become better. They should always stride to fix your mistakes with kind words. They inspire more respect when they are patient. Most students feel more respect towards the patient teachers than the short tempered ones, who blow their top at every little mistake. That is because the patient teacher encourages and supports, while, the short-tempered teacher yells and chastises. Since the teacher gets more respect from the students they get less back lip. This way the teacher has to deal with less mutiny and disrespect. Making his job much easier. And yet, this is only one of the key traits that makes great teacher. A great teacher should also be sympathetic and relate to how their students feel.

Every great teachers is sympathetic with the problems of their students. When a teacher is sympathetic with their students a bond based on confidence, respect and understanding is created. The act of being sympathetic in itself is usually a great thing regardless of whom you are trying to help. That is because sympathy is kindness and understanding. That is why students who have a sympathetic teacher tend to follow in his footstep, they emulate him and show more sympathy towards others. Sympathy helps to strengthen the already existing teacher-student ban by giving it common ground. When a teacher is understanding to his students he can teach the better, because the student pays more attention. Students tend to do better with teachers they like, because when a student does not like his teacher they won't care what the teacher has to say; but, a student would never want to disappoint his mentor. When a students have a problem with their teachers it usually reflects on his grades. That is why it is not only important to be sympathetic but to have a great sense of humor as well; that way their students can't help but like them.

All teachers should have a good sense of humor. Teachers with a good sense of humor tend not to bore their students as much. Which is a spectacular thing, when the teacher bores the students they tend to pay less attention. Teaching is a hard job; they deserve their student's undivided attention. Unfortunately this is not always the case. A students mind is always drifting consequently they they loose their manners and do dumb things. The teacher himself can make his job much easier; all he has to do is let it go. It is a fool's hope expect all students to be respectful at all times, it's not gonna happen. When a teacher stops taking everything said or done by their students seriously he makes his job easier. Not only that, but the students will like him more. The students will always show some degree of disrespect toward the teacher it is up to him to accommodate to this fact and separate the important from the other meaningless trifles.

If you have children, then you should go to his or her school and get to know their teacher. You should always be familiar with the people around your children. Not only that but getting to know your kid's teacher will also show the teacher that you care about your son's education. As a side note, please do not go harass your child's teacher; they will not appreciate getting calls everyday to see "if jimmy ate his vegetables". There is such a thing as trying to be too involved.
