The Guest Spot -- Sharing My Favorite Online Authors with the World

Sharing What I'm Reading in the Hopes You'll Enjoy These Authors Too!

Sandra Lynn
My new found career as an online writer keeps me very busy these days. I currently write for Associated Content and Triond; as well as posting daily at my blog.

I recently began a new venture at the blog and this fun thing has become one of my favorite parts of the day. The Guest Spot is the place to find many works of brilliance that I've stumbled across as I surf the Internet.

While many of the writers listed are new-found internet friends, some I've just discovered, and all of them have amazed me in one way or another with their writing ability.

My original decision to do this came from my desire to give back to those in my (writing) world who work so very hard (daily) to be able to enjoy doing what they love and to that end I believe I've accomplished my goal.

I do not have many rules for those who make it to The Guest Spot-and was quite shocked to discover that I had to make any rules as there were none in the beginning. But alas, as with most things there must be certain boundaries.

So here's the short list:

I do not take personal recommendations for your work. I will find you and if I like what I'm reading you will get there, I promise.

I do take personal recommendations for others work. If you read something fabulous shoot it my way and I'll certainly give it a look.

I am currently only posting two writers and their works per 5 day week so as to manage my time-reading, updating (and all those other "chores with love" that I do each day). Besides, an average of 10 new writers per week shared at the Guest Spot is a great start I think.

That's it-just 3 simple rules!!!

Other stuff you may wish to know about the Guest Spot:

I generally spend a large portion of my day at different writing sites and on the internet as a whole. I keep a Word document open (and ready) to pop links etc. in so that when I do update I'm not searching and/or trying to remember what I've read. Yes. I am ridiculously organized that way.

My go-to list is chock-full of great reads but as I am only posting (see above) there may be a wait time if you've recommended someone to me. Please be patient. I also include the author's name (linked to his or her specific profile page) as well as the title (linked) of the work I've enjoyed. And I do email the writers listed as the Guest Spot is updated so they may see their name in lights (or links, as the case may be).

I am currently researching designing my website (my domain name has been purchased) and plan to switch from WordPress.com to .org when the site is up and running. I plan to implement a more desirable (in my mind) way to showcase each writer once this is done-though what I've got going now "ain't too shabby" if I do say so myself.

The website plans may be awhile in coming but please know I am working daily to grow my business; which includes writing, but as you may also know, involves so many other things as well.

And now you're caught up. I do hope if you pop in for a gander at The Guest Spot that you enjoy what you see. Please feel free to contact me privately for any questions, recommendations, and anything else-feedback is always welcome.

Now that you know about the Guest Spot you may visit me anytime at AskSan's Blog to see all my updates, publications, and pictures.
