The Hair Weave Way

Hair weaving is one of the best ways to induce a great makeover. Hair weaving has become a shared favorite among many different races and income levels. There are some that can afford the best hair and technique at $1500 and then there are some that scrimp and save to look just as "finished" in a style and technique that costs anywhere between $100-$300.

The very best feature about weaved hairstyle is that there are many options available. Hair can be bought in many places including local beauty stores, hair shops and through online retailers. And with all of the colors, textures, lengths and techniques, choosing can be like a kid in a candy store but when the decision is made to either become a coifed duplicate of Toni Braxton or a luxurious wavy Beyonce look-a-like, it is time to think about how much you have to spend on which technique.

You Have: $100-125
Bonding: Your skilled hair stylist will glue hair tracks directly to the roots of your hair. If you want to add volume or splices of color, this will work fine. This style can be flexed for about 2-4 weeks then can be easily removed with oil sheen or hair glue remover.

Tracking: After your natural hair is braided into a circular pattern, hair tracks will be sewn into each individual braid to end with a very natural looking hair weave. This style is just a little more than bonding at about $15-35 per track, which has the benefit of lasting twice as long and able to be washed weekly.

You Have: $150-300

Netting: Uses the same braided technique as tracking, but before the hair is sewn, a light hair net or cap is placed over the braids. Netting last about a month longer than tracking and offers more flexibility with styling.
FYI: This style can be washed weekly but must be thoroughly dried to prevent mildew.

You Have: $800-1800
Fusion: Can you imagine being royalty? Well, this particular style of weaving is the most believable because the weave is applied directly to small stands of your natural hair. Set aside time because this process can be a lengthy one. This style can last for up to six months. With this and other techniques, to be on the safe side, have your stylist remove the hair weave.
