The Hall of Lust: Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey seemed to transform from a sweet, yet sexy talent to a chubby vixen for hip hop stars to hang on. Along her roller coaster ride of fame there have been plenty of admirers I'm sure and at one point I guess I added my own lust into the sphere of sexual energy secretly building towards her.

I remember seeing Mariah Carey sitting in that stage window sill singing about a "Vision Of Love" and thinking: "mmmhmmm, liking"; that's what I was thinking not her. She was probably thinking about how great it was to be at the start of her career and as time would reveal how horrible it was to be married to a big shot at the record label. However, it wasn't that single that really drove my young teen hormones wild. It was the 1995 release of the single "Always Be My Baby" and the music video that entered Mariah Carey into my fantasies. Just something about the sneaking around with romance at a Summer Camp vibe and her barefoot in tight jeans on that tire swing that drove me bananas. Her bare midriff and loosely covered cleavage was a nice touch as well!

After that album she had the whole freeing of herself from the shackles of her man phase, which involved a lot of butterflies, glitter, and her going into swimming pools while wearing high heels. I will admit that the video for "Honey" stoked the fires, but it wasn't long after that she took the train out of my fantasies and on down to crazy town. Are we still calling her Mimi or something?

As I write this Mariah Carey is filled with Nick Cannon's twin babies, but even before the impregnation she was quite a bit more plump than previous years. This makes her a fuller woman in the minds of some and I'll admit she could still drive a dirty thought or two from me in certain poses. However, her diva attitude and personality is a far cry from the sweet lady I knew as a teen and so the switch for Mariah Carey was turned off, not hovering between on and off, all the way off, and occasionally just gets bumped on.
