The Happy Marriage Tool Kit

My friends appreciate the unique gifts that I design just for them. By designing them myself, I am guaranteed that it is a one of a kind present. And, I know that the person that I give it to will appreciate it, because I have designed it with him/her in mind.

What I do is I take common items like candy, wine glasses, aspirin; whistles etc. and I place them in a gift bag. Each item is tagged with a piece of advice represented by the item it is attached to. For example, I might put a roll of pennies into a gift bag as part of an engagement gift. On the roll of pennies I would write: A couple needs common sense to handle every day problems. Other items that I might place in an engagement gift might be a bag of Hershey Hugs and a bag of Hershey kisses held together with an elastic band. On the candy I would write: "If a couple ends everyday with hugs and kisses they will have a happy marriage." After placing each item in the gift bag, I label the bag. For instance in my example of a gift bag for an engaged couple, I would label the bag: "A Tool Kit for a Happy Marriage".

I have created these unique gifts for several different occasions. I have made them for graduation; 40^th birthdays; engagement, wedding and baby showers and I even made one for a pregnant woman just to make her feel beautiful. Every time one of my friends or family members received one of them; they really appreciated them. My daughters even requested I make them one when they reached milestone birthdays like the 16^th and the 18^th. One of my daughters even requested that I make one of my special presents for her friend.

These are not gag gifts. I think of each person and I place in their gift bags items that they will appreciate. All the items placed in the bag are usable. They are usually the little things that no one else thinks to give. And the tags add words of wisdom and humor to the gift to make each item even more special.

The Happy Marriage Tool Kit includes:

A roll of pennies; this represents common sense which every couple needs to handle their every day problems.

A bag of Hershey Hugs and a bag of Hershey Kisses; this represents the love you share. If a couple ends each day with hugs and kisses they will have a happy marriage.

Two wine glasses and a candle; these represent romance: to have a long lasting marriage it is important to keep romance in your lives.

A joke: if you can look at your problems with a sense of humor and a little laughter they won't seem as bad

To a mother of 3 boys expecting her fourth:

A whistle: this is useful when you need to referee fights.

A set of ear plugs: so that you won't have to hear the fights.

A bottle of aspirin: so that you can get over the headache that your kids give you when they are fighting.

A bottle of bubble bath and a romance novel so that at the end of the day; when the kids go to bed you can just relax.

You can design your own unique gifts for your friends and family. It just takes a little creativity.
