Cigarettes and How They Deprive You of Life, and a Free Mind!

Quitting Smoking... A lot of us have began... And ended... And began... And ended this... And... Well you get the point.

What are the best ways to stop smoking? There are a variety of different ways, if one is serious about getting away from the health risks, and hygienically altering substances found in cigarettes.

Cold turkey is a way that a lot of smokers decide to stop. Waking up one morning and realizing that, that pack of cigarettes just isn't going to do it for them. They'll have a bagel with their coffee instead.

People get tired of burn holes in their clothes, their furniture, or their carpet. The stench that it can leave on their bodies or breath. The coughing, weezing, shortness of breath, and overall decrease in physical activity.

A lot of us have it in a mindset that we NEED cigarettes. What is to need about them? A way to view cigarettes for quitting, would be to look at them as a friend of yours. A friend that never goes away. A friend that makes you step out of social environments to talk to him. This buddy is hygienically challenged, and the smell rubs off onto you. He is poisoning you throughout the entire time you spend together, and he poisons your other non-smoker friends that he is around.

This friend wants to give you a disease, but he just can't figure out which one to impliment upon to you. He wants to make sure that if you go anywhere without him, you're missing this 'friend' so much that you have to go back and pick him up.

He makes you feel angry when he's not there, and he wants you to feel like he is the only one that can calm you down.

He'll make you go out in the cold in the winter, and into the heat in the summer, just to talk to him. Restaurants won't allow you to bring him inside.

The worst thing is, he's friends with a billion other people that he is sabotaging and getting ready to kill too. Some of these people you know, other's he will know in the future; yet with this friend it always ends the same.

He hates physical activity, and moving too much. He is keen on dirty environments, and actually helps to promote them. He especially likes to wash down and swim in lakes and ponds occasionally and kill small animals. Mostly those that try to bite him.

He can make you suseptiable to a weaker immune system. Giving you more colds, longer lasting flu's, and most importantly, any problem relating to your bronchial tubes, or anything corresponding to your breathing.

Would you really take this abuse from someone you deemed as a good friend? Would you let them walk all over you, much like you do cigarettes. Would you let a friend inject you with poison at several times a day, just because they wanted to?

Would you go out into the heat, or freezing cold just to talk to a good friend of yours, especially if there was a cozy environment nearby? You wouldn't let a real friend treat you like this, so why let cigarettes do this to you? Life is full of much better things.

It's full of great people, exercise, good food, rain, sun, snow, different seasons. There are varieties at every turn, and guess what? You don't have to share these experiences with a small white and orange stick. You can do it all by yourself, or you can share it with a REAL friend!

People tend to rule out the long term effects believing that it won't happen to them, but we all have the ability to succumb to any pressures thrown our way. There is already an intensley insane amount of stress and anxiety throughout the world, why add onto that with the problems cigarettes will cause?

Nicotine Gum, the patches, there are several different ways to stop. If you are truly ready, though, the best way to stop is cold turkey. It's all a mindset, change that mindset, and you will change your world. There have been many people in generations who have went from 3 packs of reds a day, to a sudden hault. It doesn't even have to be cigarettes, we look for a wing off method for any addiction in life.
