The Harvest Inn of Napa is a Pleasant Surprise
This Wine Country Accommodation is Far from a Bed & Breakfast
The Harvest Inn can easily be missed from the road as the hotel's eight acres are recessed back and you only see the sign in the middle of all the wineries on Main Street. Once you've gone through the driveway, you still don't quite get the full impression as the main building looks more like someone's country estate than the lobby area of a hotel. Once inside, the stunning reception area of this building gives you a glimpse into the winding paths that will lead you to the rooms, suites and cottages.
Accommodations at Napa Valley's Harvest Inn are totally warm and cozy, with individualized fireplaces that are carefully created to look unique. Some burn wood while others are easily operated with gas, but all lend to the rustic atmosphere that has all the finest furnishings. The decks and patios have sweeping views of vineyards and mountains. The gardens throughout the property are beautiful, completing the picturesque atmosphere. You won't be sure if you are staying at a friend's or living in the lap of luxury, which is the charm of this hotel.
The breakfast, which is complimentary, is not to be missed here. It is a European style buffet, with a huge assortment of breads, cheeses, and even hot dishes. There is also a wine bar on the premises which offers tastings, free of charge on some days. Every room has high speed internet and a stocked refrigerator.
Spa Services are available at the Harvest Inn of St. Helena and can be done outside under a canopy or in your room if you prefer. They have some unique offerings, including the Grape Seed Glow Facial Massage and the Cabernet Passion Fruit Body Scrub and Quench. There are also two different outdoor swimming pools that have accompanying whirlpools. Mountain bikes can be rented and the concierge can arrange for additional activities in the area.
The Harvest Inn has been deservingly given a four-diamond rating by the AAA consistently since 1979, but despite the hotel's luxury status, they have some very reasonable packages available.
