The Headless Man Bull Rider of Associated Content

Cherie Bowser
As the alarm rang, I dragged myself out of bed and straight to the computer where the addiction of logging on to Associated Content has been a daily routine to see what has been published and how my page views did the night before and to start writing what I claimed. As I pulled up the Associated Content page, the page was full of heads, bloody heads and decorated coffins and creepy looking goo and the page read in big bold letters, "LOG IN IF YOU DARE...IF YOU DO, OFF WITH YOUR HEAD".

I stared at the front page wondering if I should log in or not. This must be a trick that Associated Content is playing on all the content writers and it must be a joke. As I clicked on the Log In tab, I immediately noticed bright red blood streaming down my screen. I typed in my email and then my password. I paused a little, and then clicked the blue words Log In. The next thing that happened was a headless man who was riding a bronco came out of my computer holding an Axe. He claimed to be the Headless Man Bull Rider Han Van Meegerin and he said, "every year I need to dismiss a profile head" and this year, his boss Don Pennington asked him to eliminate two". He said, "I have already taken care of the Associated Content writer, Honora James. He is only left with just his glasses on his profile.

As the Headless Man Bull Rider Han Van Meegerin ran around my room with an Axe. I couldn't believe this was happening and I said, "you are my friend from Associated Content and this is all a dream, which I will wake up". He came around with his sword and made a tiny slice on my arm that drew blood. He said, "I am real and you are my next victim". He made a point to tell me that last year's victim was Ghost and now he is made of stone and no one knows it.

I quickly said, "why two victims this year and why me?" He said, "you think you are lucky with your lucky white rabbit on your profile, but you are wrong, your luck just ran out!" He started riding around me with that Axe and made another tiny slice on my other arm that drew blood. There was only one thing I can try to do and that was to log off. I quickly logged off the Associated Content page and he was gone.

How will I ever write for Associated Content again. They would never believe my story. The only thing I could do was to infect my computer with a virus and log into Associated Content again. I had some contacts where they were able to put a virus on my computer. I went to the Associated Content log in page and logged in. As the Headless Man Bull Rider Han Van Meegerin started to appear, he seemed very dazed. He said, "what is happening to me?" As he tried to take a swing at my neck with the Axe, he was drawn back into the computer and I saw him and Don Pennington together swirling in a daze on the Associated Content page and my computer shut down.

I had my friend fix the virus on my computer and as I went to the Associated Content page. There was a message saying, we temporary lost connection for five minutes, but we are back up and running. I looked at Han Van Meegerin's profile and his head was there. I then went to Don Pennington's profile and looked the same as he always seemed to be in thought. Next, I checked on the profile of Ghost who had a statue profile and Honora James who had just glasses. Next, I noticed I had a message from Han Van Meegerin. The message read, Happy Halloween! I hope you enjoy the rest of your year writing. I love Halloween and look forward to being your Associated Content colleague and look forward to all the holidays, especially Halloween of 2011.
