The most important benefits to using lemons are the antibacterial and immune-boosting powers. Lemons can be used in a juice form; you can put it in tea, dressings, and even your bath. Because of their acidic nature, lemons can be very effective in treating acne. 'The alkaline kills some types of bacteria that cakes acne. The vitamin c in lemons is good for glowing skin. To make homemade acne treatment follow these instructions:

Take your finger and or use a cotton ball to apply fresh lemon juice to the acne area and leave in on overnight. Wash it off in the morning. You may experience e a burning sensation, but it will go away soon. You can also mix a one part freshly squeezed lemon juice with an equal part of rose or honey water. Repeated it twice daily preferably in the morning and evening.

There is research that confirms that lemon balm has a calming effect. That means that it is able to make you more relaxed and therefore remove fatigue, anxiety, dizziness, and nervousness. Inhaling lemon oil is thought to help in concentration and alertness. It can also be used as a room freshener in offices to increase the efficiency of the employees.

If you have canker sores try mixing the juice of the lemon in a glass of lukewarm water and rinse you mouth with it three times a day. Of course there will be a burning sensation but the more you use it the less it will burn. Lemon is also good for the chills and fever. Add the juice of 1 lemon to a cup of some hot water mixed with honey and drink it immediately. Due this every two hours until the symptoms decrease. Always seek medical attention for severe conditions such as high fever or severe acne .

When you experience a running nose or sore throat drink lemon juice in water ever two hours to avoid a cold. To help that sore throat further add a teaspoon of sea salt to the juice of 1 lemon in luke warn water. Gargle with it three times a day for a few minutes. You can eve n swallow the juice for the vitamin c content. Use lemons to freshen you breathe after you eat spicy foods, drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes. Rinse your mouth several times during the day width lemon and water. You can also nibble on the lemon slices.
