The first suggestion is regular olive oil, which will add moisture to your babies' skin, and is very healthy. Actually olive oil is something that many parents use in countries around the world. You will not need a lot but just a very small amount. About a teaspoon is perfect for a little baby. You can rub it on your hands first, and then give your baby a nice massage after their bath. Avoid putting any of the olive oil on the face. I would recommend the oil moisturizing rub just once a week. This is not something that you will need to do everyday. Another option for natural moisturizing your babies skin the natural way is to use a mashed up avocado. This would have to be applied a little different than when using the olive oil.
First you will take the avocado, and mash it up in a bowl. You will need to make sure that it is very ripe, and soft before you start mashing it up. Before giving your baby a bath, it is best to massage the avocado on their skin. Be sure to avoid the face since little moisture is usually needed there. You will only need about two tablespoons of avocado to rub on the babies' skin. Remember that not much is needed for little babies to keep their skin moisturized, and feeling good. Just wrap up any left over avocado, and you can use it on yourself as a facial mask the next day. It is best to use the mashed up avocado within three days after mashing it up. Any longer, and you will find that the avocado will begin to change colors, and not be as effective. After rubbing the avocado on the baby you can then wipe it all off using a soft, damp baby cloth. Next you can give your baby a bath as you normally would. These are two simple an easy ways to soften up your babies skin, and keep it from drying out. I would not recommend that you use both of the methods; it is best just to stick with one method. You don't want to over moisturize your babies skin.
