The Heat is on so Be Aware of Your Largest Organ

M Pears
Now that the summer is right around the corner there will be more fun activities to adventure in on the outdoors, but you can't afford to forget about your bodies biggest organ which is your skin. Most people don't really recognize that your skin is an organ but indeed it is. Different skin types reacts differently in the beaming sun it will always be wise to keep your skin covered in the sun always wear shirts and try to keep a hat around these are to things that are very needful doing the summer months shoes are a plus as well. One of the main things to remember even if you forget your shirt and hat is your sunscreen this will help your skin from being damaged. The Ultraviolet from the light rays is what damages your skin the most. There are two types of ultraviolet rays the UVA rays and the UVB rays both harmful but one more so than the other. While UVB is the main ray that causes sunburn the UVA is the one that is most dangerous occurring in the daylight hours in the summer as well as the winter months this is one of the reasons why your chances are greater and worser because the UVA rays penetrates very deeply in the skin unlike the UVB rays.

When choosing the best sunscreen be sure to pick one that protects your skin from both UVA rays and UVB rays. Never pick a sunscreen that don't have SPF (sun protection factor) 15 or higher. Try to put your sunscreen on about 30 minutes before going into the sun. Wear sunglasses, light colored and loose fitting clothing as much as you can in the sun and don't be fooled on the cloudy days there are still rays that can affect your skin even on cloudy days so be careful.

You might not think of your lips when it comes to the sun but you should always wear some type of lip balm for your lips as well. Wearing long sleeve and a hat that can cover the back of your neck would be a good ideal. If at all possible try to avoid the sun as much as you can especially in the daytime hours between 11am - 4pm this is when the radiation will be beaming the most and it would be more dangerous for anyone to be out in that type of heat. If you can plan outdoor plans later in the day that would help, but still protect yourself from the sun at all times. If you can be in a shady area that would be a huge help to your skin from being damaged. Simply remember to use sunscreen, wear proper clothing, try to stay in shady areas, wear lip balm, and select better times for any outdoor events and most importantly keep your skin protected and stay safe you should have no problems at all.
