The Pinckney Community Rodeo, also known as Helluva Rodeo takes place each September at TMZ Farm on Patterson Lake Road in Putnam Township. Located just two miles from downtown Pinckney, and a hop skip and a jump from Hell, Michigan the rodeo attracts even goers from all over Southeastern Michigan. The rodeo is in its fifth year and offers many exciting opportunities for local residents and visitors, while directly benefiting local youth groups.

Typically held on a Sunday from early morning until late into the evening, this family event offers a professional rodeo show along with many additional fun, family oriented activities. Although the rodeo show is the highlight of the day with bull riding, bronco busting, team roping and barrel racing, the other activities draw many local residents and out of town visitors. The petting zoo and pony rides are favorites of younger children, while the carnival appeals to kids of all ages. Rodeo Clowns keep the laughs rolling all day long, and adults will enjoy the Business Expo and Arts and Crafts booths as well.

Gates open at 9:00 a.m. and you'll want to be there first thing to take advantage of the pancake breakfast before the rest of this fun filled day unfolds. At a cost of just $15 for adults and $10 or kids and seniors, the Pinckney Community Rodeo is indeed a Helluva Rodeo with a lot of bang for your buck. The best thing about the rodeo at TMZ Farm is that the rodeo benefits local youth charities.

Past youth charities that have benefited from the Pinckney Community Rodeo include the 7th grade DARE program at Pathfinder School, The Friends of the Lakeland Trail and the rodeo's charitable efforts even helped to complete the local Unity Park Playground in Pinckney, Michigan. In 2006, the rodeo's beneficiary was the Pinckney Connection Skateboard and BMX Park. 2007's rodeo will help support local Girl Scouts. So, not only is the Helluva Rodeo a heck of a good time for kids and their parents, but local youth benefits through the cost of admission.

Each year, the Pinckney Community Rodeo counts on sponsorships from local businesses to keep this rodeo and annual event for Livingston County families. Generous donations from many local businesses help support bringing in the carnival, professional rodeo team, clowns and petting zoo. Local businesses, or artists who are interested in supporting the rodeo through sponsorship, or setting up a vendor table at the Arts and Crafts Fair or Business Expo can contact Renee at (734) 878 - 6425 or renee@tmzfarm.com for more information.
