The Help is a Must- See Summer Movie

Summer is coming quickly. I associate summer with going swimming and going to the movies. I usually go to movies in the summer and during the holiday season. I am looking forward to the summer movie season. I am excited to see 'The Help.' www.movies.yahoo.com/thehelp This movie comes from the book of the same name. The book is great and I would consider it a must-read. I hope that the movie does justice to the book. The cast looks like a great cast. I like the casting of Emma Stone as as Skeeter Phelan. Skeeter is a aspiring writer who tries to help two maids get equality in the South. I also like the casting of Allison Janney as Skeeter's mom. She was great in the West Wing. I can't wait to see what acting chops she will bring to this role. I also think that Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer will do justice in playing Minny and Aibleen. They are the two maids.

I also can't wait to see the Help because of its time period. I love reading about the 1960s. This is because the 1960s were a period of great social change in the United States. I am also a fan of historical fiction; therefore, I am glad to see that another movie is being made about such an important period in history. In addition, I want to compare this film to 'The Secret Life of Bees'. www.movies.yahoo.com/thesecretlifeofbees This is because both movies take place in the the 1960s during the Civil Rights movement. I am also excited to see The Help deals with race relations in Mississippi.

In addition, the book is over 400 pages. Therefore, I want to see what parts of the book that movie will highlight and what parts the movie will gloss over. It is understandable that movies that are based on books have to be edited. This is because of time. In addition, it is okay to take a bit of artistic license with movies. However, I hope the movie doesn't water down the book. Moreover, I hope that they don't film every page of the book. In short, I am an avid reader; therefore, I love watching movies that are based on books that I have read.

Sumner is coming soon. Therefore, the summer movie season is coming soon too. I love going to many summer movies. I am looking forward to seeing the movie adaptation of the historical fiction book The Help. I love the cast that will star in this film. I also like the historical period that both the book and the movie are set in. In addition, I am a avid reader; therefore I enjoyed going to movies that are based on books. I hope that The Help is helpful in helping me enjoy a great summer movie season.
