Most gun guys around my age have a soft spot in the old ticker for lever action .22 rifles. We grew up with cowboys on TV and in the movies, entranced by the blazing pistols and rapidly fired lever guns that mowed down bad guys at every turn along many a dusty road. Remember playing with cap buster pistols and longing for real guns like John Wayne, Paladin and the Lone Ranger carried? Well, here's your chance to jump on the wagon train and get your own lever gun without spending all your hard earned dinero partner!
The Henry Lever Action .22 is an American made rifle that will instantly take you back to youthful dreams of cowboys and lever guns. At first glance, you'll notice the beautiful American walnut stock that puts many more expensive guns to shame. The Henry will hold 15 rounds of .22 long rifle cartridges and will also handle .22 short and .22 long cartridges as well. Weighing in at approximately 5.25 pounds, the Henry is just right for a fun gun to carry along on hikes or for hunting small game like rabbits and squirrels.
Now as all my readers should know, my favorite lever gun is in Marlin 39 family, but I don't currently own one. Why? Because I can't afford one right now! That's why I'm telling you about the Henry, because it is around half the price (or less) than the Marlin! Now the Henry is made differently than the Marlin and the differences are reflected in the price. Remember, you do get what you pay for as always! But the Henry delivers good accuracy at a good price! The best part is most folks can afford a Henry now! Other than price, the Henry has just about the best warranty you can get. Here it is, quoted directly from their web site at http://www.henryrepeating.com/rifle-lever-action.cfm:
"Henry Repeating Arms stands behind its products as it has historically. We offer a simple limited lifetime warranty; if you have a problem at any time, and it's our fault, we will correct the problem immediately and at no charge. The warranty does not cover excessive wear and tear to parts, and accidental damage."
At the low price of the Henry Lever Action .22 rifle, that's about as good as a deal gets these days! Go buy one!

Post a CommentVery interesting! Well written!
I still want a Marlin 39 someday, but I'd take a Henry anytime as well. As to collector value, early made guns usually command premium prices down the road. Now is the time to buy this particular gun.
I just wish I'd bought a truckload of them when the Henry first came out. The price has doubled, better than most stocks right now!
A good read as always. This sounds like a fun gun to own.
I grew up in the era of cowboys and indians too, and no man (at least on television) was complete without his repeating rifle. Great review.
Nice review.
Great information for those in the market!
I only know about guns from my husband and son, so I had my son read this, now I know what to get him for Christmas. Thanks for the info
It sounds like you know what you're talking about! Do you think the Henry will become a highly collectible gun? And are you saving up for a Marlin?
Very cool.
