The Heritage Inn: El Dorado, Kansas

During a recent trip to El Dorado Kansas, our ladies group stayed at the Heritage Inn.

The Structure

The inn was built in the early 1980's, however seems to be maintained well. There were no holes in any of the four rooms we stayed at and the structure seemed sound. All the bathrooms were clean and the rooms and the rooms were generally of decent size.

The Staff

I only met the owner, a nice man and he was very accommodating. I have seen reviews from previous customers and I honestly do not know what they are referring to when they say the staff is rude. I received nothing but kindness during my one day stay.

Amenities

The inn does include a free cold breakfast (cereal, milk) and coffee in the office for your convenience.
There are also mini refrigerators and microwaves in the room. (Note-please be sure to plug the refrigerator in before you store anything in it. My refrigerator was not plugged in.)

The inn does have wireless internet access, however, there is a charge for it and you must ask for it in order for the connection to be completed.

The inn does not generously give towels out, nor do they store towels (except for hand towels and wash cloths) in the room, so asking for them at the time of check in is recommended. Some of the ladies in our group had to ask for extra towels, and if there is more than three occupants, the hotel manager tends to charge more for the room.

All rooms have a 27 inch television, and a few rooms have a whirlpool bath and recliners, as did mine. The beds were quite comfortable and I slept very well.
