The Hidden Mickeys of Magic Kingdom's Mickey's Toon Town Fair

Go for the Blue Ribbon by Spotting the Most Mickeys

Danny Cox
Those of you that have no idea what a Hidden Mickey is need look no further then my first article which explains exactly what they are and how they came about.

Whether you're just coming off a thrilling ride on the Tomorrowland Speedway or just spent time spinning in circles with the Mad Hatter and his tea party; you can then head down a pathway to an old country time atmosphere. Country life can be quite relaxing and that is evident by the comfortable looks of both Mickey and Minnie's homes. Donald's Boat provides plenty of water-splashing fun and the Judge's Tent will allow guests to visit with all their favorite characters. The relaxation ends there though as Goofy can't help but be out of control with his wild barnstorming plane ride combined with the never-ending search for the Hidden Mickey's at Magic Kingdom's Mickey's Toon Town Fair.

Everyone should know that Toon Town actually has a ton of Mickey-shaped items, Mickey-themed pictures, and other such related things all over the place. I'm not entirely sure how many of them can actually be considered "hidden" which is why the list below seems so incredibly huge for such a small area. Trust me that while you're walking around this particular land, you'll find dozens and maybe even hundreds of Mickeys. Hidden or not.

Minnie's Country House

~ Minnie's chimney shows what may be one of the few actually "hidden" Mickeys. Look near where the house and chimney meet to see three stones of various sizes making a traditional tri-circle Mickey head.

~ The second shelf of a bookcase has a collection of four or so books with one being "My Fair Mouse." Near the bottom on the spine of the book is a side profile silhouette Mickey.

~ Another true HM is in a portrait of Clarabelle Cow. Look closely down in the bottom right hand corner and you'll see a border of small Mickey heads in the picture.

~ Minnie's sewing room has a few pots and vases up on a shelf. One pot has ceramic Mickey ears on top and a vase has artistic drawings of different Mickeys on it.

~ A blanket hanging up has a bunch of Mickey silhouette heads all over it. Quite obvious and not hidden at all.

~ Much like Haunted Mansion, there is a set-up of a large plate and two small saucers in the kitchen making up a Mickey-shaped head.

~ Minnie's freezer even has Mickey-branded food. A green and yellow box with no label on it has a tri-circle yellow Mickey head right smack on it.

~ A high cabinet in the kitchen has Mickey salt and pepper shakers.

Mickey's Country House

~ Look around the house and outside for things like windows, doors, fence posts, mirrors, and even vegetables that resemble Mickey. Some of the cooler things are the Mickey-shaped tomatoes and pumpkins. Even Mickey's checkerboard has red and black checkers shaped like his head. Must have cost him a pretty penny to have everything so personalized.

~ The ping-pong table has paddles shaped like Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Goofy's is sitting off to the side while the other two are on the table.

~ Sitting in one of the windows of Mickey's kitchen are some blueprints for renovations. All over the blueprints are tri-circle Mickey head designs.

~ Inside Mickey's garage out back, there are three hubcaps on the wall hanging together to form a traditional HM.

The Judge's Tent

~ Again there are Mickeys spread all over the place here, especially with the merchandise shop attached to it. But moving on there is a blanket with Mickeys on it, a Mickey-shaped watermelon, pie, Mickey-shaped fruit in a basket, and ribbons in the tri-circle shape.

The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm

~ On top of the silo sits a weather vane that has Mickey riding a horse.

~ Inside the barn is a model helicopter hanging from the ceiling. If you look closely on the mismatched patterns, you'll see a white background with little blue Mickey heads all over it.

~ Near the very last section of the queue is a storm drain on the ground that has a HM right in the middle of it.

Donald's Boat

~ I've never really found any HMs anywhere but I did see a lot of members of the Duck family. There's a map inside the boat that shows Uncle Scrooge and the nephews on "Mount Quackmore." Looking at the rest of the map, you can see Daisy is the shape of a body of water while Donald is off to the right as a piece of land.

Walt Disney World Railroad

~ Haven't yet found any HMs in the trip from Frontierland into Toon Town or from Toon Town out to Main Street. You can see just about everything from the station, but it's nothing I haven't already listed or that isn't obvious.

Toon Town Fair is filled with so much fun and tons of Mickeys everywhere you look. If your kids are looking for a good place to get their fix of not only Mickey but tons of other characters then you need to go spend a bit of time over in this land. It will give parents a chance to relax as well since it is a rather small area and there's plenty to do with even a few playground areas for the kids to enjoy. Take your time sometime during the middle of the day or even early evening to stroll around this countryside area and find all the Mickey-themed items you can.

Please feel free to let me know if there are any I've missed or that you think are truly there. Oh, and for those that are brand new to the world of Hidden Mickeys? Don't let searching for them ruin your trip to the happiest place on Earth please. Always make sure that you are taking in everything and enjoying all you can while there with friends and family. Hidden Mickeys are fun to look for and find, but there really is so much to do that you don't want to be on a wild goose chase for your entire trip.
