Wow. What can I say about this book? Ms. Moning has done it again. Highlanders Touch had me laughing, crying and reading scenes to my husband just before the light was turned off. Circenn Brodie is an amazing character. He's a warrior, hero, a knight in oh so tarnished armor! Well, so maybe he doesn't wear armor but instead appears in a kilt, or wet and naked in a bath as Lisa drops into his life, but damn this hero is the stuff of dreams. In more ways than one.

Lisa is a strong woman, she's been the driving force in her family since her father was killed in a terrible accident, but now her mother is dying of cancer. She works two jobs and a curse Circenn cast on an artifact is the trigger that sends her stumbling into the past, seven hundred years before she was born.

Throw in the fae element with Adam Black, who appears in Beyond the Highland Mist (and no doubt other of Ms. Moning's works), and you have a story that mixes the tumultuous history of the Templar's, oaths', betrayal, magic, mystery, Robert the Bruce, historical battles and a passion that leaves the pages steaming.

Ms. Moning's work is well worth reading, and goes beyond the normal run of the mill Highland Romances. She has a knack for weaving stories that grab the reader hard by the throat, force them to read into the early hours of the night, then jab them out of bed, blinking for coffee with the book still in hand.
