The Hills Gossip: Did Lauren Conrad Really Hook Up with Audrina Patridge's Boyfriend?

There's another fight going on in The Hills and this time it looks like neither of the usual villains like Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt or sis, Stephanie Pratt are involved! The latest buzz actually involves Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge, two best buds who were already on somewhat shaky ground if you believe what you've been seeing on the latest installments of The Hills.

You all remember that Audrina Patridge has an on-again/off-again boyfriend, Justin Bobby, the motorcycle-riding, bad boy that her friends are none too fond of. And really, who can blame them? We've seen Justin at some of his worst moments - remember when he burped during lunch when he first met Lauren? Or how about the time that he actually had the gall to make out with another girl at the club knowing full well that Audrina and her pals were in the house? And not only did he kiss the other girl, but then he actually denied ever doing it!

Still, for whatever reason, Audrina keeps her boy toy around as a sort of safety net, claiming that the two of them have some sort of special connection. He's accompanied her to countless parties and was even there by Audrina's side when she and Lauren were on the outs during Frankie's Vegas birthday weekend.

So imagine my surprise to hear that the latest rumor is that good-girl Lauren actually hooked up with Justin Bobby behind Audrina's back. Say it isn't so! Well, that's exactly what Lauren is saying actually. Lauren Conrad took to her MySpace blog to defend herself and said straight out that the rumors are NOT true.

However, it seems that Audrina is not so sure that Lauren is completely innocent. She wrote in her MySpace blog that at this point she doesn't know what to believe anymore. So what do you do when you think that a close friend of yours might have hooked up with a romantic interest of yours? Who do you believe in a case like this?

Now granted, we don't know all the details and for what it's worth, remember that The Hills drama is really only pseudo-real. This could just be a publicity stunt to generate more interest in the show that's currently playing on Monday nights at 10 pm on MTV.

Still, I find it very interesting that even the slimy Spencer Pratt would chime in about this issue and actually sympathize with Audrina telling the media that she is going through a difficult time at the moment.

I personally don't believe that Lauren would stoop to the level of actually hooking up with Justin Bobby, especially since the two of them have already had a pretty rocky time adjusting to their new roommate Lo. But I guess we can expect to see this play out on a future episode of The Hills. Can't wait!
