The Hills Gossip: When Will the Lauren and Heidi Feud End?

One of the most famous feuds between two reality TV stars is that of Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag - two ex-best friends whose friendship was ultimately torn apart by a guy. It seems that for as long as we can remember, these girls have been feuding.

On the first season of The Hills we were introduced to Lauren and Heidi, the BFF's who seemed to be joined at the hip. Not only were they roommates in a gorgeous Hollywood Hills apartment, but they also attended school together at the FIDM. But as the second season started up, we saw Heidi begin to pull away from Lauren as she began her tumultuous romance with Spencer Pratt. By the end of that season, Heidi had moved out of her and Lauren's apartment and moved in with her boyfriend, Spencer instead.

In its third and perhaps most explosive season, we saw the Lauren vs. Heidi feud come to a full head. While they were portrayed on camera as trying to stay away from each other, we all know that that would make for bad TV. So MTV did its best to make sure that Lauren and Heidi would be forced to run into each other. With cameras running the sparks began to fly (and I'm not talking about the good kind of sparks either).

One of the most memorable run-ins between Lauren and Heidi, was at a famous LA nightclub, where the two got into a fighting match outside the club. It ended with Lauren walking away from Heidi. In another episode, Lauren was at dinner with her ex-boyfriend, Jason Wahler and Heidi and Spencer just happened to show up at the exact same restaurant.

The chance meeting was anything but civil. Although, Heidi and Spencer greeted them, it was done in a sarcastic tone. Later, Spencer decided to send over some drinks to their table, which were politely refused by Lauren and Jason who left soon after.

Now as we're getting deeper into the fourth season of The Hills, we're introduced to Heidi's sister, Holly. Holly seems to have her heart set on repairing the friendship between Lauren and Heidi. Spencer of course, is not happy about this and he's almost coming across as ridiculously insecure in his attempts to keep all of Heidi's friends and family at arms length.

And now the latest drama in The Hills is all about rumors that Lauren is trying to steal Audrina's boyfriend. Lauren suggested in a blog that she knew the rumors were started by Spencer. Of course, this only caused Spencer to lash back that Lauren is the one who has a history of stealing other people's boyfriends and that she needs to stop blaming him everytime her character is called into question. For once, Spencer actually makes a little sense.

Still, at this point, we don't know who started the rumors or whether or not they're true. The feud is causing major buzz about The Hills though, which is probably the intention of the rumor starter in the first place.

So will we see Lauren and Heidi reconcile by the end of this season of The Hills? It's not looking too good, especially since Lauren has repeatedly said that it will never happen as long as Spencer Pratt is in the picture.

It seems that Heidi is beginning to realize more and more how much she's lost since she met Spencer Pratt. But the question is, is she willing to give him up to gain back her former life? He's alienated her family and friends, cost her a promotion at work and made her a laughingstock among the music community. How much more is it going to take?
