The Hillywood Show Takes on New Moon

Unless you have been hiding yourself under a rock for the last several years you know about the Twilight Saga, and you know about all the things that it has spawned. Not the least of which is The Hillywood Show's Twilight Parody, which was a fantastic laugh and romp through the film with Katy Perry's Hot 'N Cold as its back drop.

The Hillywood Show has continued in the tradition of the Twilight Parody release and on January 3rd 2010 and as of this writing it already has over 400,000 hits and numerous mentions on other media outlets. The Twilight Saga juggernaut seems to have another set of stars.

I admit to being one of the many who was eagerly awaiting the release of the New Moon Parody, if I am perfectly honest I was more eager to see the Parody than the actual movie itself (sorry Movie diehards) and overall I have to say that the Parody did not disappoint.

New Moon parody is an over 10 minute walk through the finer points of the story. Katy Perry opens the Parody just as she did in the original Twilight Parody, but it is a more subdued track "Thinking of You" we see Edward leave Bella, but almost instantly, Jacob steps into place.

Bella's silent sitting by the window turns into something much more girl power and fitting in the hands of the Hilly sister's, when Bella drapes herself in skintight leather and goes rebel. Using the Anthem by Pink "So What" Bella rides a bike, dances and gets herself a Team Jacob Puppy Paw tramp stamp.

The only flaw I had any real issue with myself was Bella's attack scene coming so late in the production. This bumped the flow a little bit for me, but overall it was just a small blip in an otherwise fantastic production. My compliments go out to the full cast of the parody each of them playing their roles to a T, and the Hillywood version of Jacob Black defiantly makes me ponder my Vampire allegiance.

The final coup de grace for this parody was the mash up dance scene that featured the Volturi, the Birthday party gone concert and of courses our Heroine running to save her man. If you have read any of the interviews with some of the actual movie cast, you will hear about the musical Cullen Family band. The Hilly sisters played cleverly on that with the family playing the band to Bella's rock star self at the end.
