The Holiday Box Exchange, from Vendors Who like You as a Customer

Lady Dee
You have heard of the term try before you buy, and that is where samples come in handy. You have also heard of catalog home parties, with the birth of the internet, these home catalog parties have become independent distributors. Sometimes it is hard to know if these items are something you like to buy. How would you like to receive a box full of goodies from vendors, that would like you to be a customer for them? That is the idea behind the Holiday Box Exchange, located at http://www.freewebs.com/boxexchnage/index.

The Holiday Box Exchange idea, was born when an independent distributor wanted to get word out about the companies she wanted to represent. She had samples that could be given out. At her work they were having an international food day, where you made a dish from your background, everyone sampled it and if they liked it, they could take the recipe. It was that concept that gave the idea of the box exchange.

Why not get a bunch of vendors together give samples, with their pamphlets and business cards about their business, put them in a gift box and send to customers, If the customer likes the items they could become a regular customer for that vendor. It would almost be like a craft mall all in one box. The holidays would be coming soon, and the customers could use these samples as stocking stuffers. It would be a win -win situation for both the vendors and customers.

For the vendors it a low cost advertising solution, for a one time fee of $5.00 they would get a new customer base and word out to customers. For a customer there is a $10.00 fee to get a box, but currently the Holiday Box Exchange is having an early bird special, and the fee is $5.00. The fee for the customer is just to cover the shipping of the box of goodies they will receive. On the site they have a list of vendors who are currently participating, the list is growing daily.

When I asked the owner of the site, what can a customer expect in a box, from these vendors, her response was:

"I already know some items that are going to be in the boxes, right now the items that I have been told by some the vendors are a dryer sachet, soy melts, a wicker snowflake, body lotion, a rose candle, and an air freshener. The Vendors are asked to donate up to $10 per box, so when I valued the items, so far the current value of these boxes is approximately $15.00. And that is not all the vendors yet, so it is quite possible the boxes will be valued at around $30.00. So if a customer signs up at the sale price of $5.00, they will be getting a real bargain. I see the items on the vendors webpage's they are very nice and will make wonderful stocking stuffers, if the customer wants to use it for that."

This how the process works:

From now till November 30th, 2007 Vendors and customers will sign up to be in this exchange. November 30th is the very last day for sign ups. On December 1, the vendors will be emailed as to how many customers have signed up, they then have until December 15th to get there items to the packing department. The boxes are promised to be delivered by the US mail no later then December 30th, Although the owner of the Holiday Box exchange is hoping that they will be delivered by Christmas Eve. Tracking numbers will be mailed to the customer so they can track their gift box.

If you want to get a box of goodies for a low price why not try the Holiday Box Exchange
