The Home Depot: Review of Home Improvement Stores, North Oklahoma City
Home Depots are great resource for finding out about home improvement repair ideas. Many of thier employees are retired from trade work. This means they really know their stuff. The only problem with this store is there are too few employees no matter what time of day you're in the store. You will have to hunt and when you do find an employee, they most likely have a customer so you will wait.
However, once you find someone to help you, they usually make wonderful suggestions for your home improvement repair and remodeling projects. They know of products you might not be aware of and shortcuts to what you might have in mind for your own home improvement projects. Since I am not trained, I find this an invaluable opportunity for fix it yourself, home improvement projects.
My home depot runs specials on most week-ends with great give-aways. Home Depot has given me "green, cloth shopping bags, fluorescent lightbulbs and water saver faucet rings. I also took advantage of a two for one sale on garden vegetables this year. My plants look healthy even though they are a couple of months old and have been through several thunderstorms, some with hail.
There is plenty of parking at this store but be careful walking through the parking lot. I don't know why but often, drivers seem in a hurry here. I don't know if it's because they have just come off a busy street or they are trying to get out on the street before traffic slows them down, but keep an eye out.
The facility is huge. I don't think I've seen the whole thing but there are several kinds of carts available and staff has always offered assistance with hauling, handling and loading. You can even leave everything by the door and drive-up for them to load for you.
I was disappointed when I couldn't find hay here this spring but I guess mulch is what most home improvement stores carry. I did find hay at a garden store though. I give this store a 9 out of 10 points knocking off for the lack of employees. Otherwise, this Home Depot is great for fix it yourself home improvement tips.
