The Hot Nude Guy from the "Sex in the City" Movie: Gilles Marini

The new "Sex in the City" movie just surpassed the $100 million dollar mark in just five days. No doubt much of the talk about the movie centers on the new edition of actor Gilles Marini. Marini, who is of Greek and Italian extraction, started his career as a runway model for Giorgio Armani. Gilles, who's name is pronounced 'Jill", plays Samantha's "naked" neighbor Dante, at her new digs in sunny California. Dante spends his days and nights seducing women and showering outside where Samantha get's an eye full every chance she can. Currently in a committed relationship with hottie Smith Jerrod, Samantha is out of her element as a one woman man. She loves Smith but she misses being Samantha, more.

Being treated to daily and nightly views of Dante in various stages of flagrante delicto, does nothing to quell Samantha's longing. One of the most memorable lines of the movie involves Dante, Samantha and cake. I can't repeat it here but it's a good one. There are those of you who know what I'm talking about and, those of you who don't; get thee to a theater. During the course of the movie, Dante favors Samantha and the movie going public with some full frontal lusciousness that makes me happy I'm a girl.

If you found yourself thinking that Marini looked familiar, you've probably seen him ABC's "Ugly Betty" He played Wilhemina Slater's stylist, or maybe as Jean Luc on Daytime TV's "The Bold and the Beautiful". He has also appeared in "Dirty Sexy Money".

While Gilles plays a sexually promiscuous Lothario in the film, as it turns out he is actually a devoted family man. Married for 10 years, he and his wife Carole have two children, George who is 9 and Juliana who is 2. Gilles attributes the birth of his daughter with bringing him good luck and helping him land his part on "Ugly Betty". Despite his various scene of undress in the movie, he maintains that he has always been quite shy. On the Today show, Marini said growing up, he would always close the bathroom door, but now, after seeing all of him in the movie, his mother and sister are "making fun of me for that".

According to Marc Malkin, staff writer for E!Online Marini admits he didn't tell his wife about the full-frontal scene. She attended the movie with some friends. "She came home and was like, 'Gilles, I saw your penis in front of all those crazy women screaming in the movie theater,' " said Marini, who will be in New York tomorrow to receive the Best Rear Award at Bravo's new A-List Awards."It was shocking, but she understands my job."

It appears the attention is going to take some getting used to. Marini said. "This morning, I could not work out. I went to my gym, and everybody came up to talk to me, and they just talked and talked. That is not going to help with my abs." However Marini is also grateful for the opportunity to be in a movie that has given him this much "exposure". "I am so blessed," Marini, 32, said on the Today show. "It's overwhelming ... I mean, look at this." He was referring to the crowd that gathered outside of NBC's studios to see his interview.
