The Hottest Electronics of This Holiday Season

The electronics industry is making a killing already this season. With nothing really new coming out this year, just better versions of stuff from last year, it is amazing that sales are so good. Sony Electronics President, Stan Glasgow, predicted that this year could be the best year for electronic sales in the past few years, according to CNET.com.

Nintendo Wii is a hot item again this year. A manager at Best Buy in Stroudsburg,PA said, "Wii's are flying off of shelves. As soon as they come in, they are already gone." Most stores are only getting a few in at a time and they are generally gone within minutes of arriving at the stores. Most stores will not hold them because they are the hot item that they are. Luck is the only way to find one.

Another hot item this season is the Apple iTouch. The iTouch is the same as the iPhone, minus the phone. The iTouch holds pictures, videos, music and surfs the web all with the touch of your finger on the 3.5 inch screen. iPod's and MP3 players are also in high demand once again.

Video games seem to be another popular seller this year. With PS3, XBox 360 and Wii being so popular, the games are also a hot item. With all the new games coming out too, such as "Halo 3" and "Guitar Hero", there are plenty of new games and newer versions of old games to choose from. Nintendo DS and PSP are also going to be the popular hand held game systems this year again, like last year.

GPS navigation devices are also selling very well lately. Everyone seems to want a GPS and they are found in almost every store. Best Buy and Radio Shack are selling tons of GPS and both stores say that this is one of the top hottest items this season. Guess no one likes stopping for directions anymore!!

Cell phones are still selling pretty good too but not too many people buy them to give as gifts. Cell phone sales do not suffer during the holidays though. Everyone needs a cell phone!!

MP3 players and iPods seem to never fade in popularity. More varieties have come out this year so upgrading is never a problem. There are even FP3 players by Fisher Price just for the younger set. These FP3 players are kid tough and makes the kids feel all grown up with their very own MP3 player.

Digital cameras and video cameras are also hot sellers. In today's digital age, everyone needs a digital camera. There are also kids versions for the younger ones too. This is a great gift for the future paparazzi in your family.

So if you are bothered by all the Chinese toy recalls, stick with electronics. When do you ever hear that a gaming system is recalled because of lead or a choking hazard? When do you hear that a digital camera is recalled because of the date rape drug? You don't, so stick with the safe alternative to Christmas gifts. Buy that special kid in your life something that won't have to be taken away in a few months.
