2008 Patriot's Point 4^th of July Blast!

You'll find much more than fireworks at Charleston Harbor on July 4^th. Expect a full afternoon of excitement before the sun finally sets - and admission is free! This festival hosts an average of 30,000 people. The fun starts at 4:00 p.m. with a tasty full-line food court, a KidZone for the kids and a beer garden for the grown-ups. While you're enjoying the festivities, feel free to check out the ships, the twenty-five aircraft on-site, the Cold War Submarine Memorial and the Vietnam Base Camp. Once you've had your fill of delicious fair food and seen all of the historical sights, it's time to settle in for some real fun. At dusk, The East Coast Party Band begins to play. This old-fashioned patriotic celebration gives everyone a chance to get in on the action. A non-motorized parade is free to anyone wishing to register, with registration starting at 4:00 p.m. Get decked out in your patriotic best for this one - prizes will be given for Most Patriotic, Most Original and Most Patriotic Pet! Music and food is served starting at 7:00 p.m. with a little "flavor" to sate any palette.
