Staples had the HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop for $799.98 after a $50.00 rebate. I figured that was one of the best deals I was going to get, and as I have had other HP products over the years I was sold.
The HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop has so many great features that make my life easier. One example is the battery life. I opted for the 9 cell lithium-ion battery, which is the best you can get. I have found that I can use the laptop for close to five hours, even with the Bluetooth Wi-Fi function going. Nothing like being able to get your work done at the coffee shop, without searching for an electrical outlet.
The HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop has a 13.3 inch High Definition LCD screen, that produces some of the crispest, clearest graphics I have seen on any computer, much less on a laptop. It's like having an HDTV that you can carry around with you.
Actually there I could have gotten a TV tuner installed into the HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop, but I decided against that option.
The HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop comes with Microsoft Vista (Service Pack 1) installed. The processor and memory are well within the requirements so that I can upgrade to Windows Seven when it is released.
The aforementioned processor is an Intel Core Duo 2.1 GHz and I opted for the free upgrade to 4GB of memory. The HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop rocks! I had decided that if I was going the laptop route, I was going to get one that was fast.
I got the 320GB hard drive when I customized my HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop. I wanted a drive that would not get filled up too fast. I like to download a lot of music and videos, so size was a concern. I could have gone for the 500GB drive, but what I got will work for me. I can always get an external drive later.
The HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop has a keyboard that is large enough to work well for me. I have small hands, but anyone with large hands might have a problem using this keyboard.
I have to say that I am very happy with the HP Pavilion dv3t series Laptop. I have not used a laptop in the past, but the price was great, and the laptop case gives it an elegance all its own. I definitely got my money's worth.
