The HP TouchSmart IQ500t series is a touch screen computer that has a good deal of power, and takes up very little space. She wanted something that could be set up at her breakfast nook so she could check emails, and pull up any audio or video files that she wanted to check out.
The HP TouchSmart IQ500t series has a sleek design that not only looks good but is very functional. What you get is an all in one system. The 22 inch touch screen monitor is the computer. The processor, memory, 320 GB hard drive, DVD Burner, ports and everything are all self contained.
I took my friend over to Best Buy so she could try it out to see if it was what she wanted. She played with using the touch screen to open files, tweak pictures, and listen to music for about a half an hour. I think the store manager wondered if she was going t buy it or take it out to dinner.
The HP TouchSmart IQ500t series uses Windows Vista Home Premium for its operating system is, and I showed her that when Windows Seven is released that she can upgrade for free. She told me she will have me come over and install it for her.
She decided to buy the HP TouchSmart IQ500t series right then and there. One thing she really liked was the integrated Webcam and microphone. She liked the idea of being able to communicate with family members without having to buy something else to add to her computer.
I showed her how to use the features of the HP TouchSmart IQ500t series, for example to use the HP Media Center remote control to play a DVD on her touch screen. I also showed her that you can rearrange files, and how everything is available at a touch. The mouse and keyboard are wireless, so she can easily move them out of the way, and do a lot with the touch screen.
The HP TouchSmart IQ500t series has built in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi so she can easily connect her work laptop to her home system and copy anything over that she has worked on at home in a flash.
For someone who did not have a lot of computer savvy before, the HP TouchSmart IQ500t series has made my friend into a more experienced computer user. Maybe she won't need me to upgrade her operating system after all!
