The Human Centipede Review

Allie Bojko
The Human Centipede pretty much begins like any other horror movie. Two beautiful rich girls are on a mini vacation in Europe just checking out what it has to offer while simply living and enjoying their lives along the way. They're invited to a party by a handsome German guy they meet in their journey, unfortunately they hit a pot hole that officially ends their plans for the night in not only attending the party but in talking with the guy they're so eager to meeting. They eventually wind up somewhere unfamiliar, finding themselves lost with their rental car, only problem is that they have a flat tire in some desolate backwoods of Germany. It's now dark and for some odd reason they can't get a valid signal, they can't call for assistance because their cell phones don't return a reception. You'd think that they would wait it out in their car until someone comes to assist them but instead they decide to approach the nearest house, a beautiful lavish mansion.

The house of one of the most respected medical surgeons, Dr. Heiter, a retired surgeon that's still very much involved in his practice. Who's so desperately seeking to fill his life long dream which is to create the very first human centipede, Siamese triplets! He doesn't only want to attach three human beings together like a centipede but he also wants to make them mimic or function like a real live centipede! His methods behind achieving his goal is to abduct three individuals and yet decapitate their kneecaps just so they can no longer stand up on their own feet. Take one the individuals mouth and attach it or sew it onto the butt of the first person and finally the last person's mouth to the second persons butt like a real life centipede only in human form, sounds great right! Than he plans to combine all three vital organs and their intestines to function as one person alone, so that the second and third person are able to nourish from the first person like one big chain reaction! Doesn't that sound great, isn't it a little disturbing and inhumane you ask? Well it certainly is. It makes for this movie the Human Centipede to be something neat and interesting we have yet to see in other movies before, so read on.

There was a lot of things that I did in fact enjoy about this movie The Human Centipede. For example, the villain being Dr. Heiter was brilliantly played it's certainly one of the best mad-infested, psychotic scientist or doctor that I have ever seen before. It was wonderfully done in how they made Dr. Heiter's character as the outcast of society and they do this by cutting off all of his connections to reality and or humanity that it makes his character that much more interesting to watch. He never officially converses to his prey (being his captured guests) but always talks to them and it doesn't really matter to him on whether they talk (screaming at the top of their lungs) or do something. This isn't something that I have ever seen done in other movies before from a villain to this extent other than the man that made it happen Dr. Heiter and he scores big. The two American girls in the movie also did a wonderful job as the main female leads of the film. They really did a decent job in playing their roles and it certainly looked to me to be very believable, but others may differ. The filming crew did a great job because a lot of their work were simply impressive and it showed in the movie. If you have a weak stomach than this movie just isn't for you but if you can tolerate it you might just like it but than hate yourself just because you watched this movie. It's considered as of right now as one of the most controversial movies ever made simply because of all of the inhumanity and unnatural elements displayed and acted upon in this movie The Human Centipede. I truly appreciate the individuals that have taken time out of their day to read this review I am certainly thankful for that.

There were particular scenes in the movie that were so controversial that the people viewing it during the test screening just walked right out of the movie.

This movie was disturbingly funny. Sometimes I would think, eeeww and at the same time, I would find myself chuckling a little. Weird...Good review.

A very nice review. Sorry I found the movie a bit disgusting. I was however interested in two things that were in the movie. What kind of tires were on the car and who did those people have for a cell phone provider. In any case I think you've covered the highlights of the movie very well.
