The moment I stepped into my room, I felt a sense of a little bit of the History of Savannah with the shutters and Southern touches on the décor. My room was an oversized double which looked and felt more like a luxury suite less the King sized bed. However, I was a little disappointed that the bath was not larger as I enjoy a nice size bath to relax. Also, since the hotel is so close to the water, I could see signs of water wear and tear in the room.
The bottom line: An exceptional price, Unbelievable location with lots of shopping, boat tours and views of the river that will take your breath away. Visit the Hyatt today on line at www.savannah.hyatt.com or call them on 1-912-238-1234 or if you are in Savannah, go see them at 2 W Bay Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401.
