The appeal of hyperthetical is quite simple. People like to create scenarios from their imagination. Because, in the imagination, one can totally make love to celebrities that would, in reality, punch them in the face if they made a move.
Here's a list of hypotheticals you could use on friends when everyone's bored. Try them out with a friend now even. Wow, submitting this just shows how bored I am right now.
Would you rather camp with Sigourney Weaver for 8 months or live with Tom Cruise for 3?
Would you rather die now or get burned alive in a year?
Would you rather lose a foot or a hand?
If you could get stranded with a celebrity, who would it be and why?
Would you rather eat a ham sandwich or a jam scone?
Frasier Crane asks if you would like to go out for dinner. Do you go?
Listen to Fran Drescher for 2 days straight or tell your worst enemy they are a better person than you?
Go to the toilet in front of your family or friends?
Make love with Martin Sheen or Marlon Brando?
Get a rash on your neck that lasts for a week or vomit 7 times in a week?
Your grandad tells you a bad joke- Do you pretend it was funny or stare blankly?
Would you drink 10 cups of lard for $2000?
Get a botched face-lift or watch 'Son of the Mask'?
Tell Hayden Christensen he was great in Star Wars or lose your sense of taste for 2 days?
Rub Danny DeVito's back or kiss Chevy Chase?
Die from a either car accident, free-fall, pub brawl or grenade?
Would you rather get worshipped by every living Squirrel or Ferret?
Have your own pet lion or grizzly bear?
Would you rather have the power to control the weather or fly?
Yeah, you know you had fun. Send in some of your own hypertheticals. Get ones which really get you thinking. But, you can't change the original rules like I always do when someone finds a fault.
