The Ice Cream Man
The temperature was rising.
It was a hot and steamy day.
The children stayed inside.
It was just too hot to play.
Oh sure they had their video games
And lots of toys and blocks.
But the children wanted more
As they anxiously stared at the clock.
Then the ice cream man came out
To deliver a special treat.
The children smiled and laughed.
Finally, delicious relief from the heat.
Ice cream cones were great for licking.
Ice cream sandwiches were gobbled up.
Oh thank heaven for the visit
From the good, old ice cream truck.
