The Ignored Cries from the Ghetto

When was the last time that you read an article in the newspaper or saw a clip from the news about a charity group putting money into the ghettoes or the hoods? America spends billions of dollars everyday. Some of the things that we spend our money on should rather be spent on uplifting unrecognized communities. There are many people and organizations out there who donate money. Most of the places that they donate their money to, are places that they know that they will get their money back through taxes. The charity groups already get money from the government, so why can't some of this money be used for things that are being ignored and overlooked?

Usually what you see when it comes to the state or government re-doing a ghetto or a hood, people of authority wait for a disastrous event to happen, then they redo the place after they have kicked every body out who lived there, with no chance to return. For example, "New Orleans", when every thing got flooded, they made every body leave, and they didn't care where anybody went. When they are done re-building New Orleans, you already know that they are going to put a nice amount of money into everything, and the families that had to leave aren't going to be able to go back if they wanted to. If there are houses there, you already know that they are going to make sure that they are out of the price range for the people who once lived there.

I'm not sure rather people who have the power to help are scared to go around these areas in fear that something will happen, or is it that they just feel that people in the ghetto or the hood don't deserve this. The people that have the power to help these problems need to know that, if these people were able to fix up their own neighborhood, they would. But the people who live there can't afford it, if they could then they most likely wouldn't be living there. I know that people see that there are some problems with these places, so why do they pass them and turn up their noses, but they don't want to spend any money to do anything about it? If someone would do something about these problems, they wouldn't have to turn up their noses when they pass them, unless it is another issue that is really the problem.

I know for a fact that with as many people that pass the ghetto on a daily basis, know that some thing can and should be done. Kindness that people claim to have, are so far being proved wrong, because I still don't see anyone coming forward about certain issues, that are important. If you are going to ignore a problem, then you need to know that over time, the problem will continue to get worse.

If the Ghetto is so bad, why not change it? I mean why not just go to school and get an education? I think it's an excuse to sell drugs, im sorry to all that was lost in New Orleans but i don't think it had anything to do with black people,I think it came from having the dumbest president in history. You always hear about the ghetto and how they "want out" Why is it so hard? It makes no sense to me at all ..Maybe I'm Wrong but its how i feel about it. I think black people hold such a grudge for the way it was in the past. Because I am 23 and don't see a color I see people, But i know alot of colored people who don't like white people. And personally I think God made us all AND LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT.
