The "I´m Set for Life" Investment Teaser

R. Bourne, Ph.D.
As you already know I am writing about these investment ads or so called "opportunities" that flood my inbox email account. As always I do not write about them because I want to recommend them but just because I want to let readers know about them and maybe shed some light on what are they talking about.

So today, I received The "I´m set for life" investment teaser, which I would like to comment.

Firstly, some about the actual ad. The ad starts with a quote from the Denver post:

"It´s a 21st century giveaway",

then, keeps going

"....Closed to investors for the past 14 years, special "loophole" allows you to take advantage of the U.S. government's biggest gold "giveaway" of all time..."

I do not about you but this really grabs my attention. It goes on and on about a secret loophole to take advantage of a rarely publicized opportunity to get your hand on immensely great amounts of gold by just investing a few hundred dollars with plenty of "examples" of "actual" people investing: $47 for $300,000 worth of gold or investing $ 775 and converting it in $1.8 MILLION, etc, etc....

Then if you keep reading the ads turn out in a pitch for you to buy a subscription of a great newsletter that will tell you how to get this great investment opportunity.

To tell you the truth I am not an expert on investing but when things are too good to be truth they probably aren´t , so I stay away of it. This is probably an effort to get your money from selling information (that can be true or not). Think about if this opportunity would be so great why would he (or she) share it? Well, you probably know the answer.

So this is the "I´m set for life" investment teaser. Please be aware of this and many more teaser ads that you may encounter in your financial life.
