Fats include margarine, butter, low fat spreads, cooking oils, oil-based salad dressings, regular mayonnaise, cream etc. Fat is important to our diet, but in moderation. We need to have some fat in our diets, but we need to avoid excess fat. The most important function of fat is to provide us with energy. It gives us double the energy of sugar and is easier to break down and process than sugar is. They also help protect us from harmful x-tray radiation which helps us prevent cancer.

Fats also give us good cholesterol, which is important for healing after surgery or injury. Fats help the body restore itself quicker which is important if you're athletic or lead a very active lifestyle. Fats are also good for the outer body since they help make skin and nails stronger and healthier. Fats makes your hair healthier and shiner and are a lot cheaper than solon treatments or expensive hair care products.

Fat is very important in cooking a delicious meal. It's full of flavor, and makes your taste buds happy. Fat helps food cook faster, and helps preserve it so that you can have leftovers. Fats give our food a certain appeal and luster which you can't get from anything else. Fats make the food look more appealing and tasty, which makes us enjoy eating it more. Fats even give us essential protein and carbohydrates.

Fats are important in helping children grow and become strong. For adults, they're an important part of maintaining a healthy body. Fats are important to keeping your system and your mind well balanced, but you need to have the right amount of fat. Too little fat may make you weak, tired, and have a poor immune system. If you use too much fat in your cooking, it'll overpower a food, and take away from the flavor of other ingredients. You want to also be able to enjoy the tastes of seasonings and spices that you add to the food as well. The amount of fat that you use is mainly up to your personal preference, but fat is full of calories and too much of it will make you gain weight. Too much fat can also make you feel lazy and sluggish which is bad for your health. When it comes to fat, the less you eat the better.
