The new Hulk movie deserves many accolades after the screen flop in 2003. Which, by the way, was a horrible movie directed by Ang Lee.
The new movie that came out on Friday the 13th of all days, is AMAZING! I am not a comic fan however, I have 3 boys who love the character. My youngest, who is a movie buff, has been counting down the days for the opening. He wasn't around when the 2003 movie hit theaters. Well I guess he was, but he didn't make his arrival into the world for a few more months.
The movie is quick paced, under 2 hours and action packed. There are 2 awesome cameos in this move. One being by Lou Ferringo ( the Original Hulk) and Robert Downey, JR ( Tony Stark AKA Iron Man)
The 2003 Hulk only brought in 132.3 M. Not to good for a Comic Hero who has been around for so long and the much anticipation from Hard Core fans. It basically nosedived and fans were disappointed to say the least.
I am betting that once word gets around, this movie will bring in more than the Iron Man in total revenue. The marketing for the show was ingenious. By having Mr. Stark doing an appearance. Iron man brought in Millions. The press was able to do reviews before opening weekend. They helped bring the excitement for fans that were otherwise burned by the 2003 film. Even though I do not agree with the critics low ratings. Usually when they rate a movie as mediocre I know that it will be an fantastic film. I was right.
I usually do not watch a movie more than once. There are a few on my list that I will watch more than once. Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, The BOURNE Trilogy, Friday Night Lights, Scarface, and ANNIE are among the movies that I have watched more than 5 times. Roseanne being my all time favorite TV series that I can watch over and over again. That was a childhood favorite.
If you love action packed movies, I highly suggest paying the money to see this one. You will not be disappointed. In fact, you might want to watch it again the next day like I am. We are going back today to get a second dose of my now favorite Super Hero.
