Make a superhero mask

Use a cereal box or paper plate to cut out a mask shape, then let your child color and decorate it.

Have an Obstacle Course

Every superhero has to stay in shape. Set up an obstacle course with boxes, ropes and other items. Let your child do the course and time them. Let them change things around in the course and do it again.

Draw and Tell

Provide your child with crayons and paper and encourage them to come up with a super power they would want to have. Then have them draw a picture of themselves in a superhero outfit and explain why they picked what they did. If they enjoy the activity show them a few comics and encourage them to make up their own comic strip.

Top Secret Assignment

Give your superhero a top secret assignment to find a certain item you've hidden in the house. Write up a confidential report that says something like, "You've been requested for a top secret assignment. Your mission is to find _______ report to _______when you have completed your assignment. This message will now self-destruct." Put "Confidential" across the top in red ink and give it to them in a folder or yellow mailer. You can give them clues like a scavenger hunt, play hot and cold or just let them look until they find it.
