Being born of a different color.
At a different time in life.
A time where new rules were made.
Without consideration of feelings.
Only actions with no compassion.
Can you image to feel the hunger?
A hunger not only for food.
No, a hunger for respect and freedom.
You work hard everyday.
And hope that this will pay your way.
Not knowing what tomorrow will bring.
Only knowing what the past has brought.
In the year 1619, the first African slaves.
This is when the history of slavery began.
A Dutch trader he was.
Exchanged his cargo of 20 Africans.
For food in Jamestown Virginia.
This was in August of 1619.
Imagine you were there.
What could you have done?
Place yourself in the situation.
Feel what these innocent people were feeling.
Only because you have a different color.
It is hard to believe this actually happened.
The inhumanity of man kind.
Creating a man into a slave.
