This other person; miraculous, unique, and innocence personified is not yet able to speak for herself, which means others must petition on her behalf because this little person will face the terrifying aspect of the luck of the draw and despite having committed no crime, may have her very life painfully extinguished - paying the ultimate price for merely being conceived, when, in most cases, her conception could have been prevented.
Where does a woman's responsibility and that of her partner lie? Nature designed for pregnancy to be the core outcome following intercourse in order to propagate the species, and if pregnancy is unwanted, there are ways to prevent it, but since there is a chance, what kind of person refuses responsibility and forces an innocent to pay with their very lives?
Roe v. Wade has made the baby in the womb a non-person, without rights, until the moment after a "wanted" delivery. The unborn baby lacks even the constitutional protection enjoyed by the worst criminal and unlike the criminal; the victim of "reproductive choice" doesn't get a proper trial and will be executed by one of these ways and once their lives are snuffed out, they are discarded like waste, not even granted the identity of a name and the value of a proper burial.
Humanity has some fine moments but if we destroy our babies on an hourly basis, how can we call ourselves enlightened spiritual beings? Or is evil akin to humanity while compassion is the attribute of extraordinary people, albeit rare?
Which do you want to be? The one whose pretentious power is to slay a baby who can't fight back or the one who is strong enough to cradle, cherish, love and protect?
I once read a bumper sticker that stated, "Abortion? Pick on someone your own size."
Apparently none do…
And what makes you more deserving of life than those who are the fatalities of the abortion war where the only victims are those that never committed an offense?
What did these babies do to deserve their cruel, merciless and lonely doom? They were in the place nature designed for them to be, which was supposed to be the safest, and most nurturing and now the most ambiguous and dangerous.
Who have we killed in the years since this heinous wrong was made a legal right? Babies deserve to be loved, and they'll love in return. They deserve to feel the warmth of their mother's embrace and the gentle touch of their father's hands and they deserve to feel safe.
As adults, and the most powerful of our species, we should protect those that are unable to protect themselves because that's what strong people and noble societies do.

Post a CommentGreat article! Thanks so much for writing this. Expect, however, to get attacked for saying what you have said. Someone has posted a link to this website from a pro-abortion discussion thread.
Amen, Donna! May God bless you for writing this.
Well written...even if I don't agree with your point at all. You did an excellent job of presenting your information in support of your point.
Great article. Very well-written. I find it very interesting that the pro-abortion crowd hides behind the moniker "pro-choice" when their entire movement revolves around only ONE choice. Again, well done, and keep it up!
great job Donna-- As usual. I love it when brave people refuse to sugar coat such a horrid act. It is what it is and if people don't like the facts then maybe they shouldn't condone or justify murder! Keep standing up for what is right!!!
I think it's awesome that your brought this forward, Donna (That and sharing the ultrasound of your firstborn!).
In a sense, people are defending the act because they don't want to deal with the consequences of their actions.
