The Intelligent Crow

Every morning I wake up and give water to my plants at the roof. Around my house, there are lots of trees. The crows make nests there. The crows look very dull. Their sound may be harsh. But if we observe closely their activities, we find some interesting features. Actually we live in a rat race and we chase our careers and we have no time for watching the nature. But sometimes we should spend some time watching the nature. It is good to watch the birds and the sky for some time in a day as it helps us to create a "feel good factor" within ourselves.

In the morning, after giving water to the crows with a mug. I get back and the thirsty crows are seen drinking water from the tree pots. The trees are taking water and the poor thirsty crows are also taking the water. The crows suck the water in their beaks and as soon as I pour water in another plant, they jump into that tree!!

In the nests adjoining my lamp post, I see crows making their nests and as soon as we approach near the edge of the roof, the crows attack us as they want to save their offsprings from wicked human beings.

Sometimes we have left over bread after dinner and breakfast. The dry breads are taken by the poor hungry cats nearby. But the crows want to take the bread by dipping them into water to make the hard bread soft. The crow without teeth wants to take the bread by making soft like an old man!!

The crows have their offsprings. They do not go to school like ours. But their instinct teaches them how to fly. The baby crows sometimes fall from the trees but gradually they learn to fly when their wing muscles grow strong to carry their hollow-bone structured body over the air.

We make houses with cement and bricks and a lot of artificial materials. The crows make their homes with wires, branches, and they also sometimes steal utensils, necklaces, etc. when their nesting season comes. They also want to built their assets!

The crows are scavengers. They take all types of food and unusually I have seen very few sick crows. Their level of immunity is so high that even when they take food from garbage nothing significant happens to their health.
